remember and keep: the male and the bride

’Remember (zachor)’ (Exodus 20:8) is for the ‘male (zachar)’ — the masculine giving grade — and ‘keep (shamor)’ (Deuteronomy 5:12) for ‘the bride’ — the feminine receiving grade (§§ 180-181). ‘And revere My sanctuary (u-mikdashi tira’u)’ (Leviticus 19:30) means ‘guard yourselves from [improper] thought (hirhur),’ for the sanctuary is ‘holy’ — ‘I am the LORD who sanctifies you.’ Sod: the two words of the Sabbath commandment answer to the two grades — Yesod / Tiferet (remember) and the Shekhinah / Malkhut (keep, the bride) — and their union requires purity of thought, the sanctuary being the Shekhinah herself (cf. the Song of Songs as the holy of holies, § 174).

the life of the worlds: the blessing

The blessing said ‘over all that He created’ names ‘the life of the worlds (chai ha-olamim)’ — and it is said of Him (in the third person), not ‘over all that You created’ (the second person), because the blessing is directed to the Holy One who ‘pours His wisdom’ to that ‘life of the worlds’ (Yesod, chai ha-olamim, the grade through which the flow passes), ‘and He gives all.’ Sod: the grammatical shift marks the flow — the blessing rises to the hidden Holy One, who pours the wisdom down through the ‘life of the worlds’ to all (cf. Yesod as ‘chai ha-olamim,’ § 180).
